Comments: Officer Jansen was killed while driving home after with his police dog ending his shift patrolling Main Street in a one-car crash in St. Peters, while heading south on Spencer Road. His patrol car ran off the road, flipped several times and caught fire as Jansen was thrown from the vehicle.He had been in law enforcement 20 years, the last 13 with the St. Charles Police Department after time as a corrections officer and patrolman with the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department.
