Armin Krajina, a Special Agent with the Missouri Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control, is the DPS Sworn Team Member of the Month for November 2026, for his outstanding productivity and commitment to his work enforcing state and federal tobacco laws.

As a Special Agent in ATC’s Tobacco Program, Armin inspects and investigates merchants that sell tobacco and vape products for compliance with tobacco laws, including retailers selling illegal products and illegally marketing and labeling products. He also works with undercover purchasers who are under 21. Armin operates so efficiently that each month he leads the team in completed inspections. In his 12 years with ATC, Armin has completed over 15,000 inspections.

In addition, he teaches classes to educate servers and retailers about alcohol and tobacco laws and is an excellent communicator, whose calm demeanor de-escalates potential conflicts.

While assigned to St. Louis region, Armin willingly covers other areas of the state, when necessary, even on short notice. He is the ultimate team player, who conducts himself with professionalism, integrity and respect for others.

Branden Coker, a Senior Applications Developer with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, is the DPS Non-Sworn Team Member of the Month for November 2026, for his leadership in the development of the Patrol’s new electronic field reporting system. In addition to this major advancement, Branden generously assists troopers in need of support with the nuances of the system.

Branden was the lead developer of what is known as the Missouri Automated Reporting System (MARS), which launched in March 2026, replacing the legacy Automated Field Reporting System. MARS is a user-friendly platform that streamlines troopers’ report writing process, improves accessibility to critical information and reduces the time required to complete administrative tasks, allowing troopers to focus on their primary law enforcement responsibilities in serving the public.

In addition to leading his team in developing MARS, Branden mentors his team members and, despite his highly demanding position, makes himself available to educate troopers on how to utilize MARS to its maximum capacity. He routinely works well beyond a 40-hour work week without additional compensation but derives satisfaction from supporting the men and women of law enforcement so they can perform their work at the highest level.

Congratulations to both Team Members of the Month! You have set an outstanding example for your co-workers throughout the Department of Public Safety.
