Employees of the Month for May
Missouri State Water Patrol Officer Lance DeClue has been selected as the May, 2008 Employee of the Month for the Department of Public Safety. Officer DeClue was selected for this award due to his initiative in promoting the safety of all Missourians through drug interdiction and the cultivation of confidential informants. In 2007, Officer DeClue led all Water Patrol Officers in the number of drug arrests, affording him to develop several confidential informants. The intelligence gained through these informants ultimately led to the eradication of marijuana distribution networks, the issuance of search warrants on suspected “drug houses” and the arrest of multiple subjects.
