| Karon Schmidt, Nursing Assistant II within the Missouri Veterans Commission, Cape Girardeau Veterans Home, has been selected as the April, 2007 Employee of the Month for the Department of Public Safety. Karon was selected for this award for her quick response to an emergency situation which saved the life of a fellow co-worker.
