Employee of the Month for June
Karl Kost, Special Agent within the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control, has been selected as the June, 2006 Employee of the Month for the Department of Public Safety. Karl was selected for his diligence in an investigation of a liquor licensee whose employees sold liquor to a group of five minors who were later involved in a tragic motor vehicle accident, killing two of the individuals and seriously injuring the other three. While the employees of the licensee did not directly cause the accident, their actions in selling alcohol to minors attributed to the tragic circumstance. Karl’s persistence in investigating the case provided the State Supervisor with the evidence to discipline the licensee and further withstand their appeal before the Administrative Hearing Commission.
