Pew, Licensed Practical Nurse III within the Missouri Veterans Commission,
has been selected as the January, 2006 Employee of the Month for the Department
of Public Safety. Tammy was selected for this award for her successful heroic,
life saving efforts administered to a resident at the Cameron Veterans Home.
Tammy took the initiative to attend additional training, on her own time,
in which enabled her to become a CPR instructor. The additional training
that Tammy obtained allowed her to remain calm and effectively communicate
to other staff on the proper operation of the Automatic External Defibrillator
(AED) on the resident. |
