| Missouri
State Water Patrol (MSWP) Corporal Elizabeth Ratliff has been selected
as the August, 2006 Employee of the Month for the Department of Public
Safety. Corporal Ratliff was selected for this award for being an excellent
representative of the MSWP in all facets of her job and career, but
more notably for her outstanding role as the public information and
education officer for the southwestern Missouri 15 county district.
Corporal Ratliff provides an invaluable service for the MSWP as her
experience and personal skills are evident when she communicates with
the various media sources. Some of Corporal Ratliff’s public relations/media
accomplishments include being published in the Missouri Conservationist
magazine for an article on boating and water safety, coordinating a
free t-shirt campaign focused upon children being “caught”
for wearing their personal floatation device, filming related public
service announcements, administering boating and water safety programs
to elementary schools, and developing a new children’s coloring
book with water safety and boating safety messages. |
