Employee of the Month for April
Trooper Matthew Keeney, Missouri State Highway Patrol, has been selected as the April, 2006 Employee of the Month for the Department of Public Safety. Trooper Keeney was selected for this award for his bravery and willingness to be of service in response to an incidence in which the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Department and Fire Department contacted him to assist in rescuing individuals who were trapped by flash flooding. Trooper Keeney was contacted during the early morning hours of a day in which he was off duty and responded without hesitation to take his personal boat, with a motor capable of maneuvering through the strong currents, to assist in saving the lives of nine individuals.
