To qualify for continuing education credit, the attending officer must maintain a diploma or other indicia, indicating that the officer attended and successfully completed the continuing education course. In addition, the attending officer must obtain some form of affirmation indicating that the POST Program from any of the above listed states recognizes the course the officer attended.
Pursuant
to 11 CSR 75-15.050, individuals who successfully complete the 80-hour
D.A.R.E. Officer Training Course, as certified by D.A.R.E. America,
will obtain Continuing Law Enforcement Education training hours, regardless
of the state of attendance. The following is the breakdown of the hours
to be awarded for this 80-hour course, for a total of 71 hours of CLEE
credit:
*33 - Hours
Skill Development *2 - Hours Legal *2-Hours Interpersonal Perspectives
*34-Hours Technical Studies
Since the D.A.R.E Instructor course curriculum has recently changed,
this breakdown may change for future out-of-state D.A.R.E Instructor
course graduates.
