Blunt Keynotes 19th Annual
Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial Service
JEFFERSON CITY, May 5, 2006-The Missouri Department
of Public Safety announces the 19th annual Missouri Law Enforcement
Memorial Service will be held at the Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial,
located on the north side of the Capitol building on Saturday, May
6 beginning at 10 a.m.
Once again Gov. Blunt will be the keynote speaker as
Missourians pay tribute to all law enforcement officers who have given
their lives for the protection and safety of this great state.
The following officers’ names will be added to the memorial
tomorrow; Patrolman Scott Armstrong of the Bridgeton Police Department,
Police Officer Molly Bowden of the Columbia Police Department, Sergeant
William McEntee of the Kirkwood Police Department and Corporal John
A. “Jay” Sampietro Jr., Trooper Donald K. “Kevin”
Floyd, Sergeant Carl Graham and Trooper Ralph Tatoian of the Missouri
State Highway Patrol.
Tragically in 2005, Missouri’s State Highway Patrol
lead the nation in troopers killed in the line of duty with the loss
of four honorable officers. Next year’s service will include
Officer Jesse Embrey III.

A luncheon will follow the conclusion of the service
at St. Peters Church located at 216 Broadway St, just east of the
