State Supervisor for Alcohol
and Tobacco Control Resigns
JEFFERSON CITY, November 30, 2005-Dale Hardy Roberts
submitted his resignation effective today as state supervisor for
Alcohol and Tobacco Control. He has accepted a position as Campaign
Director with the Loudon for Auditor Campaign.
Mark James Director for the Department of Public Safety
said he appreciated Roberts’ service to the people of Missouri
and understands his decision to pursue other career opportunities.
“I am grateful for the longstanding government
service Dale has provided. The department will continue creating a
team who will best protect and secure this state,” James said.
The governor’s office has already begun looking
for a replacement. The nominee will be subject to Senate confirmation.
The Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control was established
in 1934 to regulate the industry and is housed in the Department of
Public Safety.
