State Supervisor for Alcohol and Tobacco Control Resigns

JEFFERSON CITY, November 30, 2005-Dale Hardy Roberts submitted his resignation effective today as state supervisor for Alcohol and Tobacco Control. He has accepted a position as Campaign Director with the Loudon for Auditor Campaign.

Mark James Director for the Department of Public Safety said he appreciated Roberts’ service to the people of Missouri and understands his decision to pursue other career opportunities.

“I am grateful for the longstanding government service Dale has provided. The department will continue creating a team who will best protect and secure this state,” James said.

The governor’s office has already begun looking for a replacement. The nominee will be subject to Senate confirmation.

The Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control was established in 1934 to regulate the industry and is housed in the Department of Public Safety.
