Gov. Blunts’ Homeland
Security Council to Hold Second Meeting
JEFFERSON CITY, September 15, 2005-Under the direction
of Mark James, Chairman of the Homeland Security Advisory Council
and Director of Public Safety, the council will hold their second
meeting at the Fire Safety Building located at 2401 E. McCarty St.
at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
The council will discuss the homeland regionalization
plan, status of 2005 grant allocations, review Hurricane Katrina relief
efforts and give updates on the state fusion center and continuity
of government plans.
Although there will be no formal press conference after
the meeting tomorrow, the media is welcome to attend and interview
Director James or any other council member.
The next meeting is slated for Oct.7 at 10 a.m. with
a location to be announced.
