Alcohol and Tobacco Control Agents to Patrol Opening Day at Kauffman

KANSAS CITY, April 7, 2005—Agents from the Missouri Department of Public Safety’s Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC) will be out in full force for the Royals’ home opener, arresting underage drinkers and smokers on Monday April 11.

The media is invited to follow undercover agents as they issue citations to minors and vendors and ensure a safe environment for all KC baseball fans. Starting at 1 p.m. agents will be patrolling the area surrounding Kauffman, the stadium’s parking lots and inside the ballpark. The effort of the division is an attempt to curb underage drinking and smoking and illegal sales of alcohol and tobacco by vendors to minors.
