APPROVED OUT-OF-STATE CONTINUING EDUCATION PROVIDERS
(Effective until 12/31/2011)

If you attended continuing education training recognized by a POST Program of any of the following states, that training may be recognized by the Missouri POST Program as “Licensed Provider” continuing education credit:

  • Alabama
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Connecticut
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Indiana
  • Kentucky
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Minnesota
  • Nevada
  • New Mexico
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Oklahoma
  • Pennsylvania
  • South Carolina
  • South Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Vermont
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia

To qualify for continuing education credit, the attending officer must maintain a diploma or other indicia, indicating that the officer attended and successfully completed the continuing education course. In addition, the attending officer must obtain some form of affirmation indicating that the POST Program from any of the above listed states recognizes the course the officer attended.

The Missouri POST Program allows the law enforcement officer and the agency he/she is commissioned with to determine in what core area the training hours should be awarded in. This is based on the content of the course and usually can be obtained by reviewing the agenda, synopsis, etc. of the course by the law enforcement officer and the CEO of the commissioning agency.
