Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement (CJ/LE) Program

Welcome to the Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement (CJ/LE) Program Home Page!

The Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Program (formerly known as the Narcotics Control Asssitance Program or NCAP) administers several different grant programs to provide financial assistance to Law Enforcement Agencies, Court & Prosecution Programs, Crime Laboratories, and Correctional Facilities.  Our federal grant funds are made available to us through the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance.  To get more detailed information about each grant administered by the Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Program, click on the appropriate link to the left.  On each grant's web page, you will find a brief description of the grant as well as eligibility and funding guidelines for each grant, an application packet, and all the forms needed to complete an application.

For your convenience, the calendar links to the left provide a list of important dates and deadlines for the application and administration process of our grant programs.   The calendar is constantly being updated as new events are scheduled and new grant application packets are posted.

The Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Program is also the designated section with the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Office of the Director responsible for the administration of the Department of Defense Excess Property (DoD 1033) Program and the Law Enforcement Equipment Program (LEEP).  For more information or to obtain an application or request form for either one of these programs, click on the appropriate link to the left.

For information about the Missouri Crime Prevention Information Center established within the Department of Public Safety, Office of the Director, click on the 'MO Crime Prevention' from the drop-down box to the left or from the drop-down box on the Director's Office Home page.
