The Enforcing the Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program supports and enhances efforts by states and local jurisdictions to prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors and the purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. (Minors are defined as individuals younger than age 21.) Congress has delegated the authority to administer the EUDL Program to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) who passed on that authority to the Missouri Department of Public Safety (DPS). From fiscal years 1998 to 2005, Congress appropriated $25 million annually to OJJDP for its EUDL Program. Under the EUDL Program, activities may include:
